Nieuwe ontwikkelen rond 2D Sonarview 4.0.......

Onderstaande bericht is vandaag op het BBC-forum gepubliceerd. Wellicht interessant voor diegene die 2D Sonar problemen ondervinden sinds de 4.0 upgrade.

We did some testing this week on table rock lake.. we found out few things..
1. make sure nothing touching the transducer cable. example the pwr and neg. from the battery.. make sure there not wrap around them. Same goes with the bow.. make sure the wire's not wrap on the transducer cord or touching them. zip tie wire's away from the transducer.
Once we moved all the wire's away from the transducer it all cleared up..we even tested between 3.5 and 4.0.
2..also if you have Minkota fortex and maybe with other newer models of minkota.. Make sure you didn't blow fuse, there's a fused on top of the TM under neath the lid/cap. If that is blows it will pick up more interference: FYI, even the fused blew the TM will still work.
We did not know about the fused inside the TM cap, until the Minkota rep showed us..Yes the Minkota rep was there too.

The motor can be grounded internally but this requires that the motor be disassembled, resealed and reassembled and it is recommended that this only be done by a the motor manufacturers authorized service center.

If you have a trolling motor that has Universal Sonar 2 you need to insure that the fuse in the head of your motor has not blown. A visual inspection will not suffice, you will need to check for continuity with a volt meter. If you do not know where the fuse is located in your trolling motor, you should be able to locate it in the exploded diagram of your trolling motor manual. This fuse is a 3-amp, mini automotive. If the fuse is blown, you should either contact MinnKota Customer Service or one of their many Authorized Service Centers across the US and Canada. Also make sure that the connections on the Universal Sonar Cable are properly tightened. If these connectors are not completely screwed in, noise can enter the unit from these openings.
